  • "Ditto Cops" The system will add the _ to the url. Since _ is internet shorthand for a space anyways, it's all good, use the plain english. Make a redirect page for the _ and for lower case "cops" if you think it will reduce confusion more. Never let meta information like "what to name it" get in the way of adding lulz content. Category suggestion

I want to add fake journals as a category, as a subcat of trolls. I think it is appropriate as there are many important fake journals in LJDrama and LJ in general. --Quasidan 03:14, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)

  • There are several reasons why I think "fake journal" would not be a good category. Firstly, it is often debatable whether a journal is "fake". How can anyone be sure whether any journal is true to the person's nonfictional experiences and activities? How do we know that a supposed "fake journal" is not the real thing? I think journals that are considered "fake" could be in various existing categories, depending on the details and/or the perspective of the writer - examples include LJ Users, Trolls, LJ Drama and Pranks. As the "fake journals" could already be included in one or more of these categories, there is no need for an additional category. --Aussieintn 03:30, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)

  • When you revert edits, it adds its own comment, through the software, that's why I edited it twice - to add a comment distinct from the automatic one. In the urban dictionary article you just pasted your crap on top of the original content and then put a 'bullshit' heading below it. Obviously that's lame. In the FFVII article you took a whole bunch out, specifically mentions of wikipedia. I don't have a problem with your views, I have a problem with your shitty edits. Did you read this: User_talk:Harp_Heaven? Lastly, I am always really busy and therefore have a short temper. The Newstream3.jpg image I uploaded is a completely different image to the one you previously deleted. There is no need to delete it unless the Markham Skating Club objects. What do you think about the uploading of pornographic images to illustrate ED articles? I'm not sure it's always relevant or funny. I think the test should be whether the image illustrates drama, parody or pranks. It needs to be clear that this is a dramatic site rather than a pornographic site. search issues

i noticed that for the past few days any searches performed that don't find any results spit an error message:

InterWiki links

I notice that ED does handle InterWiki links, and can form a google search and a google groups search, but it can't form an image search. Using an InterWiki link also knocks the little icon off the end of the link, so it might be useful in tidying up things like the Template:lj and Template:ljcomm stubs (I couldn't make the class="plainlinksneverexpand" thing work here). Immediate Deletion of Material Regarding (Feltcho)

This is a public notice to inform you that I have followed all the links uploaded to your site which involve unauthorized use of my name, likeness, voice, etc., in a continueing pattern of willful and intended harassment by members of Encyclopedia Dramatica.

I intend to prosecute to the fullest extent possible this harassment which is now shifted onto ED and for which there is a malicious attempt to humiliate and otherwise cause emotions stress through the unauthorized use of my voice, name, etc.

It needs to be noted that phone calls were placed to a Mr. Joseph Evers at 810-223-0715, a number which is appearing as the System Administrator for girlvinyl.com. Further, I received calls back from someone claiming to be an attorney of Encyclopedia Dramatica. This conversation has since made its way onto the Internet in numerous formats and this could not be so save for the contueing pattern of abuse and harassment of these individuals which are core contributors and known professional trolls and acknowledged abusers and harassers.

Such members include Weev, Hoya, among others, which have been documented and for which we may seek your assistance in identifying directly or through siezure of your assets (servers, etc., to determine their positive identification).

These individuals are basically cowards and punks and deserve no protection or quarter.

The following pages violate my privacy and are clearly intended to be defamatory with the intent to harass to cause mental stress and harm:

Your site has referenced that you have sought legal council. It also has been very clear that it has taped private conversations between myself and your council and this has been used to post in numerous forums where your membership has been involved in deliberate and malicious harassment, which includes numerous threatening calls.

I am demanding that any and all information, including illegally released recordings of my likeness, be removed from your site, and I be provided with a certification that you have seen that these recordings, which were sent to the System Admin number as referenced for girlvinyl.com, have been destroyed.

You have until Wednesday, September 7, 2005, in order to respond to this request. I do not accept the use of the term Feltcho, an attempted insult to my person, and a willful and malicious harassment to my person (on going now for nearly 9 months), to continue without taking all legal recourse available.

Continued Harassment and Threats from Girlvinyl.com and Encyclopedia Dramatica

Dear Mr. Misxxx,

This is a recap of my position of our conversation last night.

The call arrived through phone number 312-730-9xxx, a number which is a non-working inbound number already registered as "Harassment4" of a series of numbers from which I have been harassed. The call was purported to be from an attorney linked to your site, who gave a phone number for his office at 206-338-2xxx. This number is bogus and is not the number to a business office, as spoken of, and consequently, we must assume that the call in its entirety was designed to intimidate and harass.

There were 4 parties present, to which I registered a Mr. Acosxx (attorney), Joseph (punk) Exxx, who claimed to be a designer (and whom we know is involved in this harassment), Misxxx Boroxxx, allegedly a site admin responsible for the site Encyclopedia Dramatica, and an additional person (I believe) as there was alot of chatter on the line.

Your call was allegedly to correct all misquotes and otherwise to help in doing what you can to correct what was a deliberate harassment against my professional and personal interests. You had promised to delete all references to me, and a search of your site shows that you have not done this, nor do I expect any quarter from a group of people who are essentially committed to promoting and harboring cyberstalking and terrorism, which is what you are engaged in doing.

I have stated that there is only one recourse I am interested in: a complete deletion of all information posted to your site that is in reference to me. The content matter starts with the Article called Feltcho, which was and remains a direct form of harassment and intimidation and defamation of my person, all taped conversations which you have not been provided permission nor was there any warnings or otherwise from your company that such taped recordings would be uploaded to the Internet to further your aims of harassing and stalking your victims.

You agreed to forward via email a series of quotes you were studying for removal. I agreed to look into these quotes and inform you which are libelous or otherwise blatant harassment and defamation. You failed to do so, although I was not expecting such as your company is clearing committed to harboring and otherwise encouraging and enabling criminal behaviour.

For this purpose, you were provided with my private business email to take the discussion off of what otherwise could be compromised accounts as I have no doubts that as profession cyberterrorists, it is possible that you or your associates have attempted to plant virus's that allow you access to my personal information.

The result of this good will was to receive a life threatening email this morning to this private email account. This email account is not public and it is not released to anyone save for they whom I am seeking to resolve or conduct some business with. It was released to you last night in the telecon, and promptly received a life threatening and harassing note that was clearly intended to convey a direct threat against my life.

That I received this threatening letter this morning to this private email account highlights further the criminal nature of your enterprise and the incredible malicious intent of you and your company to defame and otherwise intimidate me into silence.

This formal threat received from you was discussed in our conversations and for which your group collectively scoffed and tried to humiliate me. This is, of course, your groups standard operating procedure.

I am not taking your threats to my person lightly nor do I intend to tackle what is clearly a life threatening issue without involving the necessary authorities.

You are hereby warned to never contact me again to "resolve" any issues as it is clear you are using these contacts to further your stalking and intimidating behaviour.

DO NOT EVER CONTACT ME AGAIN AND BE WARNED THAT PERSISTENT HARASSMENT BY YOU AND YOUR ASSOCIATES WILL BE FORWARDED FOR CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

These latests threats from you and your group are absolutely in character with those who are pathological stalkers. Un-fucking-believeable the stupidity and arrogance of your organisation.

Uploading script problems

Whenever I upload I get the following message:

A database query syntax error has occurred. This could be because of an illegal search query (see Searching Encyclopedia Dramatica), or it may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:
REPLACE INTO searchindex (si_page,si_title,si_text) VALUES (9603,'badnews jpg',' bad news bears apparently ')
from within function "SearchUpdate::doUpdate". MySQL returned error "1016: Can't open file: 'searchindex.MYI'. (errno: 145)".

This is strictly between the original user/poster and the person claiming infringement. I can only transmit the DMCA notifications between parties. I'm required to remove the image if the DMCA is not countered and is received. Page move crap

I was just thinking... is it possible to make the move page function available only to sysops? Pretty much the only reason regular users ever need it on this wiki is to revert faggot vandals. Disabling it for everyone but sysops would be a handy way to stop those faggot vandals, without really reducing the normal functionality of the wiki. Just a though.
