Originally found Internets via AOL when I was a n00b; I ditched that shit fast.
But my first discovery of the real Internet occurred while looking for the origin of "Over 9000". ED was the first site that popped up in Google, and from there it was a life-changing experience of discovering the Internets.
I also have ED to both hate and thank for drawing me to 4chan and /b/, which I still visit (albeit infrequently).

My edits are infrequent and often small. I hold the same principle on the Internet as I do in real-life communication: Shut the fuck up until you have something substantial to say. Then say it. (Or fake it; we all know you do.)
tl;dr: Edit less, lurk moar.
