They Might Be Giants are an Americunt band made of your dad and Andy Warhol, that 13 year old boys and aspies love. 50% of their music are witty novelty songs, while the other 50% are pure unadulterated hilarious whackyness. They are best known for creating the theme song for the almost unfunny sitcom Malcolm in the Middle and doing music on the equally shitty cartoon Tiny Toon Adventures.

They Might Be Flying
Ed Robertson, and three others walked away unscathed from a float-plane crash near Bancroft, Ontario on August 24, 2008. Robertson was at the controls of a Cessna 206 when a gust of wind caused the plane to stall, which was followed by a neat landing into a grove of maple trees near Baptiste Lake, totalling the plane.
They Might Be High
Steven Page was arrested in Syracuse, NY, on July 11, 2008. The 38-year-old musician was taken into custody with a female companion and another woman after police allegedly found cocaine in their Syracuse-area apartment. He was booked on felony possession of a controlled substance and released on $10,000 bail.
Consequently, the band bailed on Disney's Music Block Party tour, a series of family-friendly concerts.
Fanbase
As mentioned before, the TMBG fanbase is mostly comprised of children and autistics (most of which are probably fatties). Like any other fandom which attracts children, They Might Be Giants also garners a large following of people whose love for the band is only eclipsed by their deep love for underagers. TMBG Fan forums are conglomerates of mouth-breathing basement dweller fucks that are probably the same people who clog up Wikipedia with userboxes for every food one ever eats.
Flame warring on that kind of site will always result in crying fans, providing epic lulz for every honest, hard-working shit-stirrer out there. For an example of how divisive TMBG can be, just take a look at this article's talk page.
