No matter what I search for on Frienditto, it sez 

There are no entries in the database that matched your search.

even if I search for "debate" which I KNOW is in the database! Hwhat gives.

  • the search feature seems to only search in descriptions, not in titles or for usernames. Apparently no one who FD'ed the debate entries wrote good descriptions, but if you search for "pagegirl" (sic) you'll get a debate entry. Slutbucket 15:03, 3 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Do you think if "rm" tries hard enough, she'll become the AntiFrienditto? Consider this where she first proves that she's batshit crazy, and then her constant squahonking at Ditto_Cops.

Updates

Are there any plans to allow updating of Frienditto pages? It would be fuckass difficult to implement due largely to the ability to wipe everything off the face of the planet, but currently the archiving of lulz threads is more akin to painting than writing - that is, it's almost a matter of artistic instinct to know that the shark has been jumped but the thread hasn't been deleted yet. Since Frienditto currently disallows duplication of threads this means that either you let it sit around and hope you grab it before it's deleted, or you archive and then discover somebody said something incredibly funny after you did so.

Also: I am exceptionally bored all the time and am obsessive-compulsive about information. I will willingly add descriptions to posts that do not have any. --Ghostlight 21:04, 3 Mar 2005 (UTC)

  • editting the Frienditto entries would be a remedial task, but I would imagine that it would have to be excluded to the person who made the entry, which depending on the original archive structure could be a pain to fix (or easy as long as one was willing to exclude all the entries up to the point of upgrade). Of course, the ability to replace the entry with a newer version would be an attractive paid feature.

sordid history

Can someone fill in some more of the details? I need more timeline stuff like the birth of ditto_cops, that crazy "author" chick posting about her "work" being "stolen" and then of course the rfjason / jameth hoax. We'll also need a copy of hep's legendary "drama yacht" post and any of the other dramacrat's posts about it would be awesome.
