Lol this is not as bad as it seems

I did some research on this thing, and found that it only affects the idiots who didn't update their computers at all.

The exploit that Conficker is supposed to take advantage of was patched by Microsoft back in October 2008, while the worm actually started causing havoc in December 2008. Any PC user with Vista and more than six brain cells should have installed said patch via their automatic updates. In other words, this thing should have been doomed to failure right out of the gate if everyone kept their computer's defenses up to date. Shrubkike was here 15:29, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
