Puzzlebox is more than just the world. Puzzlebox is more than just the terrain. Puzzlebox is more than just home. Puzzlebox is a mind, a machine, and quite possibly somebody's idea of a joke.
In short, it's a furry fuck MUCK. Not only that, its playerbase has the world's largest concentration of male-to-female transsexuals (and would-be transsexuals) outside of Wikipedia.

History
Puzzlebox was created by Postvixen and his postfurry pals to have a place to do oh-so-postmodern things like have sex, strut around in latex, have sex, write really long poses, have sex, use a lot of emoticons, have sex, oh yeah and also have sex. It went up (lol) in late 2003 and is showing no signs of coming back down again.
Characters
The most popular characters in Puzzlebox, in decreasing order, are: catgirls, hermaphrodites, dragons, foxes, hermaphrodite catgirls, dragon-catgirls, fox-catgirls, hermaphrodite dragons, hermaphrodite foxes, dragon-foxes, and hermaphrodite catgirl-dragon-foxes. If they're coated with latex and/or plastic and/or rubber, so much the better.

There are many areas in Puzzlebox to get your yiff on, to wit:
Puzzle Park
Home of the pretty metal tree and plenty of open space for cuddlepiling.
Dropsocket Lounge
The designated Out-Of-Character (OOC) area; like the OOC areas on most MUDs, this is where players tend to actually congregate
The Warps
Six areas named for the six types of quark; usually people only go to them under extreme duress, since they're usually busy cuddlepiling in Puzzle Park or talking about video games in the Dropsocket Lounge.

- Everything is geometric and bureaucratic, just what you need for mind-control play.
- DownWarp
- An urban ruin overrun with rust and the more standard furry tropes.
- TopWarp
- Land of the yiffy insect dommes.
- BottomWarp
- Supposedly one big sex party; since furries have no senses of humor or irony, the sex fiends are instead all in...
- CharmWarp
- which is full of happy shiny plastic submissive people.
- StrangeWarp
- The only area that's ever interesting of its own accord, because of all the techno-gothic elements that were ripped off from H. R. Giger and/or Blade Runner.
Philosophy
The major tenets of Puzzlebox are:
- Catgirls are really hott.
- If you've read the Principia Discordia then you're a radical free-thinking prankster.
- If you watch a lot of anime then you're an open-minded literature expert.
- For best results, name a character after an ordinary noun or adjective; failing that, some high-falutin' philosopher or scientist.
- Femininity is good. Masculinity is bad. Lesbianism is civilization's highest achievement. If you dare to question any of these, then you must be a prude or a troll.
- One's sexuality is not only a majorly important part of one's soul, it's the most important part. This may sound like a standard furry view, but in this case inordinately flowery prose is required, something like
- Dilettantism wraps hir shiny metallic legs with their built-in stilleto heels around Globuloidine's ten writhing necks, panting and pressing hir reflective buttocks against the nanite colony's heaving silver breasts (that mew). "I love you," she coos. <3 <3 <3
