Not to be confused with the Party Van, Partyvan.info was a wiki specializing in raid coordination and documentation. It was home to many Anonymi, raidfags, /i/nsurgents, vandals, and script kiddies, and functioned as a centralized hub for the aforementioned degenerates to use to reign terror on the webs. In their own words, partyvan.info "Was put together and run so that the newfags can just read stuff here instead of it needing to be explained tons of times in the chat." History
The site is named after the phrase "partyvan," the Chanese word for FBI. Since most of its users have to live in constant fear of being v& by The Man and would readily nuke their hard drives at a moment's notice, the title is rather fitting.
The self-proclaimed "Raidfag Wiki" was started back in June 2007, but was basically an unused collection of failure until a couple months later, when the wiki was finally hosted on a semi-stable webhost, which it turns out was an eMachine 633 IDS on comcast cable. Around this time, the site began to see a surge in content and users, and became a pretty useful place to find raid information. The wiki has since gone up and down more than a professional whore, due mostly to a number of HD crashes and a constant barrage of DDoS attacks from every corner of the internet.
Originally partyvan.info died in 2009 for six months out of the blue with no explanation but hinting that someone hacked them during the last week before it went down. Then, months later, it finally returned again. It is expected to be dead again tomorrow dead again.
The Insurgency Wiki (insurgen.cc/.info) is sometimes, incorrectly called a ripoff of this site because some believe it got all its content by scraping it off partyvan.info. In fact, the files were freely available to Insurgency Wiki, so no “scraping“ was done; this in contrast to Partyvan Wiki, who did actually have to do some scraping. Since it is not partyvan.info, the law "partyvan.info is always down" no longer applies, and thus it has good uptime. The newfags who only joined in the past year yell at r3x for stealing content, though some argue most of the content on the wiki wasn't written by them to begin with.
Infos
Raid information is collected and cataloged in only the most serious of manners, as the users take their hobbies of hackan, trollan, spamman, and raidan very srsly.
Unlike Encyclopedia Dramatica, partyvan.info not only allows, but encourages a number of hazardous practices, such as the posting of personal info, detailed planning of raids, and step-by-step instructions on how to harm the target at hand; the kind of things that a normal site would instantly disdain in fear. However, nobody really knows or cares about The Insurgent Wiki, so it doesn't really matter.
However, in a fashion similar to that of ED, partyvan does not tolerate Personal Army requests. Really, nobody on the internet wants to help you get revenge on your ex-girlfriend.
Currently in an epic battle to the end of the internets with Insurgen.info over who is the true Anonymous w/i/ki.
Bureaucrats Burritos
Partyvan has way too many "Burritos" (Bureaucrats). Some are:
- Mooncup - Guy who runs irc.anonnet.org (prolly someone important or something)
- Pedorbear - A complete fucking tool who wouldn't know trolling if it slapped him in the face.
- Janus zeal - disgraced former ED SysOp, loldongs
- Tisteca - some other guy that handles maintenance stuff and apparently constructs scripts, raid tools and bots
Uses
As stated previously, partyvan is a pretty useful source for finding up-to-date raid planning and past raid information, and has become one the more trusted and widely used centers for Anon to carry out his domestic terrorism and steroid-fueled hacking quests. It is also frequently used as a common meeting place to share intelligence on raids in progress. Additionally, they also have some other chan-related material loosely affiliated with /i/nsurgency.
Uptime
Partyvan.info, due to Chanology, has developed a new law of physics--"partyvan.info is always down." Here is a graph of the uptime to illustrate that point:
