The Legend of Old Gregg is an old viral video that circulated around the internets a few years ago. Like many old memes, it's one of those things that you thought was kind of funny the first time you saw it, but then in retrospect, you realize it was just 7 different kinds of stupid with a few memorable quotes tossed in.

In said video, a musician named Howard Moon is fishing in a lake at night when he is confronted by a transexual merman (that's a male mermaid, not to be confused with a mormon) with a glowing mangina named Old Gregg. Old Gregg takes the musician captive in his underground cavern where he treats the stranger to a drink of Bailey's, shows off his waterpaint art, and accompanies him in a song and dance.
I know, sounds hilarious, right?

The Legend of Old Gregg is actually taken from an episode of a British comedy called The Mighty Boosh. The show is proof positive that not only do British people have poor dental hygiene, but they also have very shitty senses of humor. Part of the episode, which originally aired in 2005, was at some point in time posted on the internet and spread around like a bad case of herpes. Once it hit YouTube, its notoriety began to soar, and millions of dorky teenagers began quoting it and spouting off lines to compensate for their lack of wit or personality, thus filling the web with dangerous levels of anti-lulz.
People can still be found referencing and quoting Old Gregg today on the internet, despite the fact that it's a certifiable old meme and was only funny for about 2 days to begin with.
