Mudkip (or axolotl to the sciency people who are doing things with their lives, unlike the readers reading) is an unrealistically cute Pokemon with a semi-less annoying catch phrase. They are ranked by God as the most kawaii things that ever didn't exist, outranking desu, puppies, and even the Falcon punch. Mudkip was the starter pokemon no one actually picked, but regardless, they are an internet meme.
Spawned from a DeviantART comment inviting someone to their Pokémon group, the comment basically used the person's apparent affinity for Mudkips to perhaps entice the user to join their group. Whether or not said person actually joined is unknown.
It eventually evolved into a very popular piece of copypasta on 4chan's /b/ telling a story about someone at a school asking "So i herd u liek Mudkips" to some retard who screams back "I LUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRVE MUDKIPS!" This resulted in the retard dry humping a Mudkip doll in the school hallways.
Mudkipz ate world peace and we can only stare in awe at them because we ran out.

The Copypasta
Today being Halloween, I decided to fuck with the major retard at school when I came out of science for break. He was dressed as Ash. Knowing this was going to happen, I brought a Mudkip doll. Thus I started the conversation, making sure no one saw me.
"So I heard you like Mudkips..."
"MUDKIPS? I LUUUUUUUUUUUUVE MUDKIPS."
"O RLY? So, would you ever fuck a Mudkips, that is.." (he cuts me off before I could said 'if you were a mudkips')
"OF COURSE."
"Well I just happen to have a Mudkips here, and..."
Before I finished the sentence, which would have resulted in me hitting him across the face with the doll, he grabbed it. In one swift motion his pants were down and he was violently humping it. Not to get between a man and his Mudkips I started to walk away, because there is no way I'd be caught wrestling a half-naked crazy guy humping a Mudkips.
Needless to say, within 5 to 10 seconds, some girls saw him and started screaming. I cooly walked into a restroom, pretending nothing had ever happened; not that I had intended that outcome, but now that it was in play I didn't want to be involved.
I came back out two minutes later, and like any wanton act on school grounds there was now a huge crowd around him. He was still fucking it and baying this real fucked up 'EEEEEEEEEEINNNNF EEEEEEEEEEINNNF' sound. Suddenly a scuffle broke out in the middle, meaning he probably did something stupid.
I asked someone what had happened. A girlfriend of one of the football players tried to get him to stop, but he bit her for trying to take it away. Someone called in a few football players (all dressed up like Road Warrior) who proceeded to pummel the shit out of the guy. Meanwhile the school police were freaking out and having trouble getting in to the situation.
A few minutes later the intruder alarm went off and we were all shuffled into classrooms. Over the intercom the principal announced that someone had thrown a flaming plush toy into the library. Uh.. what the hell.
So we were kept there and about 30 minutes later the principal came on again. This time he was saying that whoever was behind the beating should turn themselves in. All of a sudden this woman began yelling, "I WILL SUE YOU FOR DAMAGES. YOU LITTLE PUNKS, I'M GONNA SUE..." and it was cut off.
I asked an office later what had happened. Apparently his mother had come to pick him up and threatened to sue for the beating and 'whatever else happened.' The school threatened to counter-sue because of lewd conduct, inciting a riot, and starting a fight.
So I ask you: do u leik Mudkipz?
Wikipedian resistance
Many TOW fanbois are severely butthurt over the continued growth in Mudkip's loev. To them, the Mud Fish Pokémon is not notable as a meme or otherwise, and neither is any information about the most famous and beloved Pokémon.
A wannabe admin called Apostrophe (or ' as he prefers to be called since he's too kewl for skewl) is the self-appointed guardian of all things Pokémon on TOW. He will revert any attempt to inject lulz into an otherwise tragically uninteresting topic and has claimed that "memes are never notable" in edit summaries when removing such things as the delicious Mudkip copypasta and related macros. So sensitive is this Miltopian faggot that he frequently lashes out like a widdle baby with a poopy nappy when he finds evidence of Mudkip liek on TOW and once threatened to report a member of Mudkip Nation to Mongo for WP:No Personal Attacks during a Talk page flame war over Mudkip. Here's his user page on TOW. The Wikipedia bigshots TheBilly and MelicansMatkin also still resist the power of Mudkip. They thus deserve to be tormented, though in some cases, a TOW account must first be made.
You can help Mudkips receive the lulz they so justly deserve!
- If you have a longstanding account on Wikipedia, you might want to visit the Mudkip article and add something positive to it! As part of the continued struggle to keep Mudkip-related "faggotry" away, your account must be older than 4 days and you must have made more than 10 edits. Make sure to use the word "liek" everywhere, even in the summary of edits that is never shown on the main page, and you will most surely be reverted. Let the drama and lulz ensue.

The "GFP546 Axolotl" (Moar liek GFP546 Axololtl amirite?) is now available. If that sounds complicated then don't worry, it's because Mudkip Science is Serious business. Basically what it means to you and me is that it's a Mudkip without the all important head-fin. What good is that, you might ask? Well, scientists at a lab secretly funded by Nintendo are hard at work perfecting the ectopic dorsal fin. Ectopic as in "In the wrong spot" and "Dorsal fin" as in Lizard Mohawk. Do the math folks: Axolotl + Ectopic Dorsal Headfin = IRL MUDKIP, FUCK YEAH! Oh yeah, it will probably glow in the dark if you shine an ultraviolet LED on it, which also rocks. The bad news is, however, that ZOMG THEY'RE GOING EXTINCT!!!!!!11ONE
According to one Stephen Fry quote on the television show QI, when injected with iodine, Axolotl will turn into salamanders. However if the people at pokémon had done their research before spinning out a load of shit pokémon, they would've acknowledged this fact and incorporated this into the game by making the Mudkip evolve into a more salamander type creature.
