000chan is a *chan launched in July of 2009 (the same day it died because of a DDoS attack, but this was fixed in a few hours). The *chan is still in development.

Update: 000chan is now up and running, it is a chan devoted to the eradication of cancer. They are currently under the construction of multichan unified /i/ board, which should start finalization of development should be finished in Feb 2010; as well as a massive volume streamed entertainment and games. The chan itself has many original well thought out boards, and have employed a location specific moderation force. Each board is covered as a single wall of chemo.

101chan - Established January 2010, already booming chan. The owner, Cone, is a pretty cool guy, and doesn't afraid of anything. Mods are b& hammer friendly especially Twistd, who is an hero. The other admin is Greedo, and no one is sure if they love him or hate him really. But overall, it's definitely worth a shot.

112chan

112chan - A new gypsy imageboard, most users of all of the gypsy imageboards.

1024chan

We're dedicated to free speech!

1024chan is dedicated to free speech, or so it says on the front page. The imageboard was made in an attempt to create a new imageboard experience where you wouldn't have to fear of your content getting deleted because an immature moderator does not agree with your viewpoint, or something like that. Actually, a few things are banned, though. Examples of things that are banned on 1024chan include child pornography and so-called copyright protected content. Other little known rules exist too, for example, advertising and spam will get you banned within a few weeks.

History

Opened on December 15th 2008, 1024chan continues to live on despite hosting changes and board-reorganizations. Some time in 2009, more than three quarters of the boards were merged in an attempt to simplify the site. Currently, the most active boards on 1024chan are /b/, /st/ (porn), /g/ (faggots) and /fet/ (-ish).

Users & Content

On the boards /b/ and /id/ (intellectual discussion) you'll find a lot of conservative propaganda. Nobody really knows why this is the case, but it is probably because of 1024chans dedication to free speech and the vast amount of pre-teen models on /st/.

109chan - A very, very new *chan. It's mainly for artists and students. Has an /i/.

9001chan A new *chan with potential. The site can be reached by multiple url's, such as 9kchan.org, 9001chan.org, and 9000chan.org. Its boards are all currently SFW, but the admin has said to be looking into hosts that will tolerate 18+ material. The *chan is currently listening to and more often than not creating boards suggested by users.

Freechan is a culmination of Echochan and Failchan, both now defunct. The chan holds to the idea of making a place like 4chan used to be, since 4chan is seen as overtaken by newfags and gaiafags, lol. While Freechan is an attempt to escape gaiafags, they are tolerant of furries, as long as the drama most often entailed is spared. But of course, some places need to be okay with furfaggotry. Krapple Komputer Kompany (KKK)

Krapple Komputer Kompany is sort of like an AnonIB, allowing people to have their own board. It's got a whole lot of boards that no-one visits. It has only two notable boards:

  • /cwc/ -- Where the KKK became known, in early 2009, it set up the first decent forum for the discussion of Chris-chan. And no, Talk:Chris-chan, is not a damned forum for discussion about Chris-chan. Sigh... It's about discussing the improvement of the article.

(technically, the proper name is /_cwc/ as all nsfw boards must have an underscore prefix, but it all leads to the same place anyway)

Then August 2nd, Kimmo Alm, owner of Anontalk.com for no reason suddenly decided to attack the innocent site and flood it with CP. So the KKK set up this board about fighting back against him:

  • /fs/ -- its other notable board.

Kimmo however continued to DDoS the site as well as CP flood it and then report it for CP. August 10, 2009, Kimmo managed to get the account suspended. August 19, 2009, it came back.

KKK went offline seemingly for good on November 2, 2009 and the domain now points to Legi0n's version of /cwc/.

Legi0n is a chan known for being an offshoot of the now defunct Krapple Komputer Kompany's /cwc/ board. It started out on a free webhost but this incarnation was TOS'd by Anontalk's Kimmo Alm alegidly. Then like a newborn baby crawling back into the womb, Legi0n was hosted on Krapple Komputer Kompany til it's demise, during which the site moved yet again. It is now hosted by 789chan and currently houses the /cwc/ Chris-chan board.

LocalChan

LocalChan is a location based imageboard. Helping anon find anon to do anon type things.

Loopchan

Loopchan is an imageboard which covers general interests, pr0n and media. Also in development is a Loopchan BitTorrent tracker and Loopchan Radio. There is an on-going competition to get wimminz to post their tits with Loopchan written on them. Features an invasion/insurgency board called /hell/.

Maruchan

Maruchannel is a small imageboard devoted to culture and entertainment. Maruchannel is affiliated with Bokuchan. Maruchannel hosts an IRC network for itself, Bokuchan, and Mikuchan. Additionally, Maruchannel hosts a private FTP for its members. While it's policy of hiding the CP boards behind passwords is effective at keeping cancer out, it also means that almost no one fucking uses the site's public boards. Nonetheless, the regular user-base is fairly consistent in posting, making it one of the more active shit-imageboards no one has heard of.

Mikuchan, a fledgling *chan grown from the unholy stock of Desuchan, was created in spring of 2008 as a niche *chan devoted to Yamaha's line of Vocaloid software, and its cast of characters, the Vocaloids.

Mikuchan hosts boards for most of the official vocaloids (/miku/, /rin/, /kaito/, /meiko/, /gakupo/, /luka/), some of the major doujin vocaloids (/haku/, /hagane/, /neru/, /utau/), as well as a general /vocaloid/ board for the rest. Having once sported a fine collection of pr0n/guro boards, Mikuchan is now limited to just one /h/ board; the rest of the boards are basically a festering clump of "off-topic" boards, ranging from copies of 4chan boards — /vidya/, /art/, etc — to niche boards such as /tsun/ (for tsunderes), /vn/ (for visual novels like Fate/Stay Night) and /tans/ (for OS-tans and other cute/hot 2d girls). Mikuchan's once-crowning glory, /onoff/, has itself spawned yet another *chan, Uboachan, for Uboa and Yume Nikki discussion. Mikuchan's regulars mostly hang around on IRC fapping to traps (or Uboa) and trying to think up ways to take over the world get people to visit their website.

Mikuchan is loosely affiliated with Desuchan (of course) and Maruchannel, and is now hosted by the NekoArc network.

Moderated and watched over by the all seeing gods known as ZTC and Zod, the chan remains relatively clean of all internet scum to this day. ZTC also has taunted EDfags to "try harder at spamming the boards".

Having been scathed only once by a furry shitstorm due to some kickass stories and a furfag BAWWing about some animal cruelty, the thread was plunged into a deep war, fought by the ever valiant Chicago Ted, Fribarada, and several other users against the furfag.

Eventually the furfag decided he was going to be a fuck and report RSC to the FBI. EVERYONE called bullshit and the troll was defeated after a long war against the scum.

RockStarChan is also one of the few chans with an /i/nvasion board.

Sovjet 31 is a Dutch overchan. It was made to be an Dutch invasion chan but after the way bigger Sovjet-Nederland started Yo Sovjet 31, I'm really happy for you, I'mma let you finish, but Sector88 had one of the best chan listings of all time. their own 'jihad'-board Sovjet 31 became an overchan. Also doen due to imageboard4free.

Sovjet-Nederland, is a soviet themed chan site with "fuck you"-attitude. Previously just a site made by a few classmates under a different URL (namely; glr-gamedesign.nl) to share stuff together, it quickly caught attention of both the dutch media (in some aspect) and other websites (31chan, Fok!forums and GeenStijl).

Though it wasn't called Sovjet-Nederland (Soviet Netherland) at first, on the 11th of November 2008, a piece paper with possible titles was passed around classmates and friends to decide its fate; ultimately having Sovjet Nederland won that poll. Other possibilities include; wargarble.com and hornyunicorns.org, LOL.

It started off really bad with an empty wiki and a Wakaba based imageboard script only used by these classmates and some friends. The entire site was largely overshadowed by its concurrent chan named 31chan, another dutch channel based off of Kusaba X software. However, Sovjet Nederland has gone through several significant changes in both visual and technical aspects--such as having a heavily modified Wakaba script and its own internet TV station--to a point where it became quite popular and enjoyable in Dutchland.

SN has had alot of trouble with staying afloat due to lack of bandwidth but has finally moved to a larger server on 11th April 2009 (and going online again on May 1st 2009, if not sooner). As of this writing (13th April 2009), SN is preparing for a re-launch. Sovjet Nederland was succesfully re-launched on 26th April 2009 and is more than ready for use.

31chan, SN and--a now dead chan--DutchChan.org have made a truce to cooperate for a better Dutch based chan culture, complete with unique memes and other bullshit. They are now part of a larger community going by the name of Henk de Vries, the dutch version of Anonymous.

TorChan is one of the first chans known to be operating on TOR--an anonymous hosting system. Somehow, TorChan has become the father of all chan found on TOR. TorChan is slow as fuck because Misery is too lazy to get real hosting, so its only used by pirates and pedos to trade URLs for anonymous P2P. Has a TOR-only IRC server too. Best place on TOR for /jb/, now with /cp/ too! TorChan has been approved by Pedobear.

TorChan has recently gone to shit and been overrun with spam posts and fuxing pedos. It is now full of crap. No one hangs out there anymore except for these guys.

WTFur

WTFur is an imageboard where furfaggotry reigns supreme. It is disturbingly similar to its equally socially unacceptable relative, Fchan.

WTFux

WTFux is an super sekrit imageboard where veteran 4chantards used to go to bitch about how /b/ sucks and Snacks ruined it all. These days it's mostly trannies, fags, and open minded weirdos flooding an IRC channel. Noted for being the first English imageboard site to feature a cats board, /cats/. Its most active boards are /cams/ and /random/. WTFux has been around for over half a decade, having celebrated it's 5th anniversary on March 13th. The 'community' is based mainly around the active IRC channel located on the WTFux IRC server: irc.wtfux.orgDying chan and irc are dying.

xchan

xchan is an innovative imageboard with a rotating gallery of images. It has given us the famous raep script for vamping sites, and the xChan Directory Dumper.

ZeroChan

ZeroChan.org is ran by an insane spic (spic 2 to most 7channers), Caprisun was finishing his 12th taco as part of his mid-morning snack while browsing /b/. He became angered at his lack of tacos and the poor moderation of *chans when he decided to create his own chan, thus ZeroChan was created on April 4th, 2007 with the intentions of having a chan with maximum lulz and freedom.

During this time there was little traffic to his Kusaba-based imageboard. Upon seeing this Caprisun started to throw tacos at the ceiling while yelling profanities in Spanish for at least over 9000 hours before falling asleep for 96 hours before taking down ZeroChan, for several months. Until he decided at another go with his chan. This time he moved to a dedicated server owned by a friend. When he moved his ZC to Apollo he was greeted with many problems, Apache and PHP proved to be a bitch at first with both of them breaking constantly along with a piece of AIDS called Cpanel, which caused more 500 errors than the shittiest apache config ever written. He grew tired of running a chan once again, leaving it unmonitored for several months before really giving it another chance at his chan.

On January 1st, 2008 the site was given to Necrobilly after he paid Caprisun 1 million tacos and gave him a blowjay. The site is now up and currently active, it has been a safe haven from the fail and aids that most chans bring. A new year brings new hopes for this chan, and we will all enjoy the lulz of watching it once again epilepticly win.

Also, it used to host music for 711chan, because 711chan is to lazy to make their own, and all the mods ban for no raisin but zerochan crashed and the faggots at 711chan were never told it's back again.<--haha n00bs
