Infantilism is a variation, a range of desires that have a common theme: Diapers and babyhood.

Someone who practices infantilism is called an "infantilist" or sometimes an "adult baby" (often abbreviated "AB") and in most situations, a complete fucking lunatic. They want to be treated in a babyish way, though what that means varies widely. Usually, though, it means being diapered (some ABs use their diapers for their intended purposes, while others just wear the diapers as part of the outfit), or dressed in adult-size babyish clothing, or having a bib put on when one eats, or drinking from baby bottles, or crawling rather than walking, or having some kind of mental scarring, or a combination of these and/or other elements. Or just being a complete and utter psycho.

Another term would be "babification".

An adult person with a fetish for living like an infant. This includes dressing like, acting like, eating the food of, and all too often wearing diapers like a human baby. This is not to be confused with a Diaper Lover (DL) whose fetish includes the wearing of diapers, but not the role-play of age-regression.

Anyone who practices infantilism is completely insane. They are a few notches above furries. If someone you know practices this insult to humanity, then immediately cut off all contact with them. Remember: fetishes are contagious so you must exert extreme care when dealing with infantilists.

While most infantilists are batshit insane, there are sites such as ADISC with good infantilists that don't associate with pedophiles or even solicit sex. They even tend to troll perverted infantilists and try to distance themselves from them.
