ED Game
I have decided to end abandon my RPGXP project in favor of creating one with Adventure Game Studio. I'll be including a few of the plot elements from the RPGXP game, but for all intents and purposes this is a completely new project. An adventure game, made in the style of some of the olde sierra classic. Well, somewhat. It will have a combination graphical and text-based interface. Meaning there will be some tasks you can perform by point and click, including character movement, looking at objects, and talking to people, but for other things, you will have to use the text parser. The reason for this is because it makes it easier to add lulz and special easter eggs. "An hero" will be a legitimate command... just think of the possibilities. Anyway, anyone is free to take over the old RPGXP project if they so desire, so long as I am credited in some way. I'll create a project page later on, but figured I'd let ya'll know what's up. It might be interesting for someone to write on the "Ex-Gay" movement, the various X-tian groups that try to convince the less-intelligent gay folks that it's a "choice" and that they can be "cured." I think there's some online "communities" and message boards etc. that could be fun to troll. I've seen the leaders of these groups on TV and without exception they are raging queens. - This kind of stuff has been going on for a while. Last time I checked (early Nov.?), Dave Eggers again did not appear on google at all except if dramatica was added as a search term. For yahoo, the article had been totally disappeared, the only hits for <name> + <Dramatica> were Important people and Category:People. I checked a few other articles the last coupla times, some Wikipedia-related ones were in the same boat (sry, didn't take notes). This site is SLOW
Why is this site always so f*'ing slow ?? I have a broadband connection and everything else is ok, but this site is slow, always. Any plans of upgrading services? Running a site that gets this much traffic is super fucking expensive and we're lucky that the people who pay the hosting fee to keep it up do so. - I don't know how well we're progressing in regards to secure CC processors. But as for Paypal, that's pretty much... not happening. You see, Paypal has an AUP that prohibits activities that related to the "sale" of "items that are considered obscene".
