LiveJournal is an excellent source of lulz, but at this time we don't have a lot of editors who maintain an active LJ presence. This project page is meant to provide a resource for LJ users who want to get started working on articles, and also to encourage experienced editors to give LJ stuff a try.

Content guidelines
Do not write an article about someone unless you have a clear, documented reason for it. "She's emo" or "He's a furry" do not count as reasons. Why? Because LJ is full of garden-variety idiots and drama queens, and nobody cares.
Take screenshots and save pictures whenever possible, as it's easy to erase your tracks on LJ. If you link to locked posts, caps and quotes are doubly important.
Your article should stick fairly close to the truth. If you can't find enough genuine lulz, and have to resort to making up goofy shit, then your subject isn't deserving of an article.
Use offensive language sparingly. We at ED have no problem with such words, except that 90% of people who try to use them aren't funny. Throwing around random ethnic slurs makes you look like an ignorant jackass; writing multiple paragraphs about someone's buttsecks adventures makes you look like you're developing an unhealthy fixation.
Where to find lulz
Look in any of the communities listed on the template below. Stupid free and SF Drama are both active lulz-archiving communities, with the former generally more reliable, and the latter containing more unintentional stupidity.

These are not suggestions for articles, but ideas for areas which may produce article material:
- Parenting drama (Pop parenting needs a lot of work and probably companion articles)
- Icon theft
- Hatred of the corporate overlords
- "Blog against X issue" theme weeks
Articles needing cleanup
If you find a horrid article that looks like it could be saved, but you're afraid, post it here.
Documentation projects
- Screencap best drama in case of eventual deletion or locked communities
- Gather pictures -- art, userpics, personal photos
- Find Myspaces, personal websites, other blogs, etc
- Find out if original journal has been deleted (naming new journal if it can be found) or renamed
- Note if extant communities have gone dead, and why if possible
Nitpicky projects
- Format LJ tags:
{{lj|name}} instead of {{lj|user:name}} - Use LJ tag for first mention of name in article
- Add template to all articles, with standard format:
{{Ljseries}} instead of {{LJ}}
